SLICE PRESSEMITTEILUNG
SLICE wurde im Jahre 2004 gegründet. Im Verlaufe der Jahre hat sich die Band weiterentwickelt. Mitglieder wollten auch mal andere Einflüsse kennenlernen, andere Menschen, andere Musik erleben. In der jüngsten Formation spielt die Hamburger Band in der Besetzung: Rainer Bunk (Guitar, Vocals), Thomas Bendig (Guitar, Vocals), Matthias Pietrek (Drums) und Carsten Lepthien (Bass).
SLICE covern Titel der 60er bis 80er Jahre in eigenem Stil und „kleben“ nicht am Original. Die Musik spiegelt die Strömungen innerhalb der Band wider. Rock-Classics, Blues sowie Country-Rock sind wesentliche Bausteine des Programms. So erleben auch fast vergessene Songs ihre Renaissance. Ebenso präsentiert die Band Titel, die es nicht zu Weltruhm geschafft haben, es aber allemal wert sind, gehört und gespielt zu werden. In der klassischen Rockbesetzung hat SLICE einen eigenen Sound entwickelt, der durch einen mehrstimmigen Gesang bereichert wird.
Neben der Home Page ist die Band mit einem eigenen Channel bei Youtube vertreten. Hier findet sich ein schöner Querschnitt der musikalischen Entwicklung von SLICE über mehrere Jahre. Die Videos zeigen live Mitschnitte von Konzerten, die die Band im Hamburger Downtown Bluesclub gegeben hat. Außerdem ist die Band im Facebook sehr aktiv. Website, Youtube und Facebook tragen nach dem Bandnamen „SLICE“ die Erweiterung „4Rock“, also „Slice4Rock“. Dieses ist der Tatsache geschuldet, dass der Name der Band auch andere Bedeutungen hat, die sich mannigfach im Internet finden lassen.

SLICE was founded in 2004. Over the years, the band has evolved. Members also wanted to get to know other influences, to experience other people, other music. In the latest formation, the Hamburg band plays in the line-up: Rainer Bunk (guitar, vocals), Thomas Bendig (guitar, vocals), Matthias Pietrek (drums) and Carsten Lepthien (bass).
SLICE cover the titles of the 60s to 80s in their own style and do not „stick“ to the original. The music reflects the Movements within the band. Rock classics, blues and country rock are essential components of the program. So even almost forgotten songs experience their renaissance. The band also presents titles that haven’t made it to world fame, but are always worth listening to and playing. SLICE has developed its own sound in the classic rock line-up, enriched by polyphonic singing.
Beside the home page, the band is presented with their own channel on Youtube. Here is a nice cross section of the musical development of SLICE over several years. The videos feature live recordings of concerts given by the band at the Downtown Bluesclub in Hamburg. Besides, the band is very active on Facebook. Website, Youtube and Facebook carry after the band name „SLICE“ the extension „4Rock“, thus „Slice4Rock“. This is due to the fact that the name of the band also has other meanings that can be found in many ways on the Internet.
