The Band

At the age of 6 I played to a little audience for the first time. I played banjo to a song, my father – a musician himself – was singing to. After four years of guitar lessons I ran my own show band called TBC for many years. We started of as a duo and ended up with four band members. For many years we were playing at dancing events and parties. The band was specialized in covering guitar songs by the SPOTNICS and the SHADOWS.

In 1977 this band was marketed as STREETLIFE playing oldies from the sixties to the eighties. A very special event for STREETLIFE was a show at the largest soccer stadium of Hamburg called VOLKSPARKSTADION in August 1977. STREETLIFE played before, during the break and after the soccer game SCHALKE 04 versus FC ST. PAULI.

In 1979 I left the show band scene and joined the band JUSTIN in Ahrensburg. JUSTIN played southrock. At that time I started composing my first songs.

In 1983 I joined the band ASPHALT. ASPHALT mainly played self composed rock songs with German lyrics. My songs were also interpreted. Asphalt with front man Paul Sachse and a spectacular stage show had their farewell concert in Hamburg's FABRIK in 1984.

Meanwhile – halfway grown-up – I play the guitar and sing vocals with SLICE.
